We are so glad you've stopped by. Perhaps you have never been to a Church of the Nazarene, maybe you've never been to church at all, or at least in a really long time! We know how scary even entertaining the thought of visiting a new church can be, so here are a few things to help make your visit an easy one.
1. Come Casual
We come from many different backgrounds. The pastor may dress conservatively or casually, and you'll see people in the pews dressed in all styles—from jeans to suits. Wear whatever is comfortable. We are all about people, not clothes.
2. Ask our Greeters Anything
You will receive a visitor packet when you arrive. In this you will find brief information about our church and the ministries we offer, our beliefs, and a gift from our church letting you know we're glad you've visited and hope you will return. This is simply a genuine extension of our love and hospitality to you and your family. You will also see a guest card that we would like for you to fill out and return to us in the offering plate. This is to let us know how we can best get to know you and serve you and your family. We will not share your information without permission.
3. Drop Your Kids off at the Nursery or Sunday School
Our goal is to teach every child that God made them, God loves them, and Jesus wants to be their friend forever. If you need nursery care, please ask our greeters to connect you with our nursery attendant for the morning. The nursery is located off the carport entrance, down the hall on left. All Children's workers are background checked and approved for you and your child's safety! For more information on our Sunday School for Children, click here.
4. Worship
We have worked hard to provide you with an experience where you can connect with God and with others. Our worship is a blend of traditional and contemporary. It grows and changes with us. Words will be on the screen for you to follow. You may see some people expressing their love for God by closing their eyes, sitting, clapping, or even raising their hands. Our Sunday morning service lasts about an hour and a half. Near the beginning, the pastor may encourage you to greet the people sitting around you, but no one will single you out as a visitor. Also, we don't expect our visitors to give. So feel free to let the offering plate pass by when it comes down your row. Kids are welcome to attend worship services.
5. Preaching and Teaching
You will be challenged by spirit-filled truths from the Bible. It is our goal that the scriptures make sense so that you can apply it to your life. Our pastors, staff, teachers, and lay leaders all work hard to be practical and creative in teaching God's Word.
We look forward to seeing you soon. If you have any questions, contact us!
